On the third time using this, the plastic ring that holds the tip in place cracked and broke, making the decorator completely useless. I was simply decorating cupcakes with this- or trying to. It broke about halfway through. How ridiculous, for a tiny ring of plastic. I go through phases where I like to decorates cakes and cupcakes, so during one of these phases I decided to buy the Pampered Chef Easy Accent Decorator. I really like how easy it is to use this accent decorator. In the past, I tried to use the plastic bags that you can put icing in, and they were impossible for me to write or decorate with. This makes it so easy to decorate cakes and cupcakes. You just put icing inside the clear tube, and place the tip design that you would like to use on the end of the decorator. There is a handle you can hold on the side of the decorator, and a plunger that you press down to push the icing out of the decorator. Ease of Cleaning This is surprisingly easy to clean. I just take the pieces apart and put it in the dishwasher-on the top shelf. I never had a problem with this causing anything on the decorator to break, and it always gets it completely clean. Durability This seems to be very durable. I put it through the dishwasher, and I keep it stored in a drawer with other kitchen utencils. I never had a problem with anything breaking on the decorator.
